Before booking, ensure that you understand that our adventurous trips carry inherent, and accepted, risks that may mean you do not achieve the aim. This may be due to any number of reasons such as, but not limited to, the weather, transport issues, route issues in country and other factors way beyond our control. Our cancellation and refund policies are contained in our Booking Conditions (see red button on right side).

How to Book

Step 2Payment, send us the required deposit (the deposit amount is stated on each event webpage; they do differ).
All payments are in GB Pounds (Sterling).

Dates when payments are due will always be listed on your invoice. Here’s a summary of rough timelines.

Deposits are due on booking to secure the trip.
An interim payment may be due, primarily to secure international flights but this will depend on which trip it is. If they are due, then 6 – 8 months prior to departure is a reasonable time to expect payment to be requested.
Final balances are due 10 weeks prior to departure.

We need to have received a booking form and the deposit and then issued the Confirmation letter before the ‘contract’ between us becomes binding.

For example, sending us just a Booking Form commits you to nothing without a deposit.

Trip extensions are possible either on the front and back end of the trip (or both). If you wish to alter the trek itself, please discuss with us a tailor made itinerary (call 01529 488159)

We do not charge ‘admin fees’ for the extensions, merely the cost any additional services or the difference in flight costs (which is commonly zero or minimal difference).

What are those additional costs?  – Typically these are additional hotel nights and the return airport transfer plus anything else you may request.

Any extensions should ideally be requested at the time of booking as international flights may be booked at an early stage. Changes to those flights may not be possible once booked or if they are changeable, there will be fees to pay.

Clients can cancel trips at any time and will be subject to our Booking Conditions. Those Booking Conditions can be found on this webpage.

You are advised to purchase travel insurance when you book a trip to cover you for cancellations.

Only the necessary information will be passed to our partners in other countries. Please take your time to ensure that the information you provide is correct as you may be responsible for any costs incurred for future alterations such as airline tickets. E-mails can fail and we only use mobiles to contact you to ensure our information is reaching you. If you don't have a mobile, please use another known number and inform us.

We do not charge sole occupancy for solo travellers by default unless the trip details specifically states otherwise. If you wish to have a room on your own, there is an additional charge (stated within the trip details). Accommodation is otherwise on a same sex, twin share basis. Do you wish to request sole occupation (where available) for an additional charge?

We can put you in touch with your fellow travellers if you wish it.
In order to do so, we will need your permission.


It is in the interest of everyone's safety that you disclose full and accurate relevant medical details. This is to ensure that you can cope with the rigours of the Challenge and to ensure that our Leaders/Guides can assist you in achieving your goals should that disclosure be necessary. All personal information will be treated in the strictest of confidence in accordance with Data Protection policies and any disclosure will only be made to those who need to know. Any potential decisions regarding your participation in this event as a result of medical disclosures will be discussed with you first.

In the event of an accident or illness whilst on the trip, I hereby give permission for Travel and Trek to initiate medical treatment or the rescue services and to inform my next of kin/emergency contact (as detailed on my registration form) if appropriate. To the best of my knowledge I confirm that my mental and physical health and fitness is good and that the information I have provided in this questionnaire is a true and accurate description of my medical history and current condition. I understand that by giving false information I endanger both my own safety and that of others on the trip. I agree to take with me sufficient supplies of medication needed for my current medical condition (if applicable) and for any condition which I have had previously which may reasonably be expected to re-occur. I agree that Travel and Trek may approach my GP to verify the information on this form and attain some further details as they think necessary and that my GP may release such information to them. I understand that Travel and Trek cannot accept any liability or expenses resulting from any illness, injury or other untoward occurrence arising from any undisclosed medical condition (other than to the extent that death or personal injury arises as a result of its negligence). I also understand that failure to disclose a pre-existing medical condition could invalidate my travel insurance and that I am responsible for declaring any pre-existing medical conditions directly to the insurance company prior to departure. I also understand that should my medical situation change between now and departure, I must inform Travel and Trek.


These details are supplied so that we can assist you in an emergency if appropriate such as contacting your family where communications may be difficult. We are NOT the Emergency Services, your Travel Insurance is.

Note that policies protect you against cancellation from the time you take out the policy for unforeseen circumstances such as injury, serious long term illnesses, etc....

If you have insurance with your Bank/Building Society, please make sure it provides adequate cover, especially to destinations involving high altitudes.
