My Charity Challenge
Has Been Cancelled
What Do I Do?

It is an email many charity challenge fundraisers dread. You signed up for perhaps a bucket list adventure and have raised a significant amount of money only for the rug to be pulled from under your feet, it’s cancelled!
Why Has My Charity Challenge Been Cancelled?
The prime reason a charity challenge facilitating company cancels an event is a lack of numbers (not hitting the minimum number to make it viable). As disappointing and frustrating as it is, they will not change their mind! The corporate charity challenge facilitating companies demand high minimum numbers (often 12 – 16 or more) to ensure that their profits are high. Sadly they take no account of your fundraising efforts, cancelling challenges is not uncommon.
We Can Help You
If we offer trips to your destination, then it is likely that we can help you, even at short notice.
Minimum numbers – We only need 2 people to guarantee departures for the majority of our trips (including Base Camp, Kilimanjaro, etc)
Flexible Dates – We offer flexible dates to suit you. We can offer a departure on dates that suit you.

What To Do – The Process
Questions that arise when your charity challenge is cancelled.
Have I lost any money?
What happens to the fundraising money I’ve raised?
Follow this checklist:
1 – Full refund. You should be due a full refund if the charity challenge facilitating company has cancelled the trip. Get onto that as soon as possible to ensure a swift return of your money.
2 – Contact the charity (if necessary). If you are using any form of sponsored funding method when some of the funds are going towards the cost of your trip, check that any donations made on your behalf can be carried over to another challenge, and not be lost. If you are self-funding the trip (paying ALL costs yourself), this is not relevant although you may wish to contact them anyway. This may depend on your relationship with the charity itself. The charity should be aware of the cancelled challenge.
3 – Check our website. If we offer trips to the same destination (country) we can likely help you. The majority of our trips are guaranteed to depart with just 2 people. And we have flexible dates so you can either stick with your original dates or adjust to suit you. You do not have to stick with any dates on our website.

4 – Other original group members. If you have contact with members of the same group (that has been cancelled), give them our details too. They can perhaps join you.
In 2024 alone, we have assisted numerous people to continue with their charity challenges after they received the dreaded email cancelling their trips that they have been looking forward to for months.
For future charity challenges, consider using our services. Our low minimum numbers prevent the disappointment of cancellations. While raising funds for your chosen charity, you can effectively craft your private adventure holiday.
